ENTRY CATEGORIES
a) Wearable art (jewelry, clothing, amulet bags etc.)
b) Sculptural art (free-standing, 3 dimensional works)
c) Non-wearable works (wall hangings)
d) All AIKO (all beads must be AIKOs, findings may be used)
 
GRAND PRIZE
  Grand prizewinners in each category will win 2 roundtrip tickets to Hiroshima, Japan. Also included will be 3 nights' accommodations, 2 meals a day, a tour of the TOHO bead factory & museums and other Hiroshima sights. Winners may extend their stay and take in further sights at their own expense. Hiroshima travel will be as a group and will take place in October 2006
 
RULES
a) All entries must use primarily TOHO beads in any or all sizes. The piece must use at least 80% TOHO beads, with the exception of the AIKO category, which must use all AIKO beads, findings may be used to complete the piece.
b) All work entered must be original. Please do not submit items that you have learned in classes, from kits or any other sources. Techniques and stitches learned from any of these sources may be used but the finished piece must be your original design.
c) Only one entry per person allowed. Collaborative work may be submitted with the winners sharing in the prize for the category won.
d) Previous winners may enter but the entry must be in a category different than the one that they previously won in.
e) Entries may not be submitted if they have been entered in any previous shows, articles or contests
f) Entries must be received by June 30th to be considered by the judges. Participants will be notified within a couple of weeks of the completion of the judging.
g)

TOHO and Tambrook Bead & Trade retain the right to use the work of prizewinner in a promotional way including book publications, publicity or photographs with credit to the contributing artist. The artist will provide project directions if required.

h) Competition is open to United States citizens only
 
JUDGING
 

A panel of judges will select the winning pieces based on originality, craftsmanship, difficulty and visual appeal.

   
HOW TO ENTER
a) A fully completed entry form must be sent with the piece
b) There is a $25 entry fee to cover the cost of return shipping plus insurance
